Project Pet Pet

A movement for responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in Mandaue — turning empathy for strays into a kinder, more loving pet community.

Project Pet Pet

Project PetPet is JCI Mandaue’s animal welfare and responsible pet care initiative dedicated to protecting both owned and stray animals, while strengthening public awareness on humane treatment, responsible pet parenthood, and sustainable animal care. Built on the belief that compassion extends beyond people, the program addresses the growing needs of dogs and cats in communities by promoting care, protection, and long-term solutions to animal welfare challenges.

Through education, rescue efforts, population control, and adoption campaigns, Project PetPet champions a more humane environment where animals are treated with dignity and care. The initiative pushes for responsible pet ownership through awareness on proper feeding, vaccination, sheltering, and long-term commitment to pets. At the same time, it extends care to stray animals through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts, recognizing that many of them are victims of neglect, abandonment, or uncontrolled breeding. More than a welfare campaign, Project PetPet is a movement of compassion, proving that how a community treats its animals reflects the heart of its humanity.

The program is anchored on three key pillars:

PetPet De Sagipin (Stray Welfare & Rescue)

Focused on the rescue, feeding, temporary care, medical attention, and rehabilitation of stray dogs and cats found in the streets. This pillar also promotes community awareness against animal cruelty and neglect.

PetPet De Kutsilyo (Neuter & Population Control)

Dedicated to spay and neuter programs to help control animal overpopulation, reduce abandonment, and improve the long-term welfare of pets and strays. This also includes vaccination drives and basic veterinary care.

PetPet De Mahalin (Adoption & Responsible Pet Parenthood)

Focused on finding loving homes for rescued animals while educating future pet owners on responsible pet parenthood, proper care, commitment, and animal companionship. This pillar promotes adoption over buying and strengthens the culture of humane pet ownership.
